Safeway: the soup is great!

Posted June 18, 2010

Try the homemade soups at Safeway, they are really good. My favorite is the creamy tomato... they often have coupon specials or buy one get one free deals. I like to stock up on their soups when they offer these promotions. I like Safeway and I hope they can keep up with the ever-growing King Soopers.

Wendy's: chili and frostys

Posted June 18, 2010

I love the 99¢ menu at Wendy's... I can always find something great to eat for under three dollars. I especially like their chili, you can add sour cream, cheese and onions on the side, and by doing this it tastes like something you could get at Spoons. Plus you can never go wrong with a chocolate frosty!

Qdoba Mexican Grill: fajita veggies make it all better!

Posted June 18, 2010

Qdoba is such a great place when you want something great to eat but want it fast. Try the fajita burrito, the veggies inside are great. Not overcooked, and crunchy when you bit into them. The chicken quesadilla is also a good choice. Try adding the fajita veggies to this for a little extra.

Starbucks: friendly and fast

Posted June 18, 2010

i stop in at this starbucks all the time and the employees always greet me, and other customers, with a sincere hello and good morning. i like to get the iced coffee, it's a lot cheaper than the specialty drinks and it's pretty good if you add a little milk and equal. the mini scones are good too, i think they are vanilla flavored.

Lodge Casino: one of the better casinos

Posted June 18, 2010

I have been up to Blackhawk a few times and have found that the Lodge Casion is one of the better ones. It's HUGE and they have really good food specials. I'm not a huge gambler, but I will spend a little time on the blackjack table. I have always found the dealers to be helpful and kind... especially when I can't count as fast as them!

Rocky Mountain National Park: a quick trip

Posted June 18, 2010

It’s only a short drive up through Estes, but when you’re in Rocky Mountain National park you feel like you’re I another world. You can listen to the elks bugle, hike around bear lake or camp at one of the many campsites available. Another nice short trip is to Alberta Falls, worth the trip!

Party City: disappointed

Posted June 18, 2010

Normally i find everything i need in this store, but the last time I was in there I was disappointed that I couldn't find a particular hat I was looking for. The people working in the store, high school aged guys, weren't very helpful, so I left feeling disappointed. Seasonalyy though, they have most everything you would need. Out of season, you’re out of luck!

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill: Applebee's

Posted June 18, 2010

I enjoy eating at the Fort Collins Applebee’s because they have a light menu – it’s related to the Weight Watcher program, so if you’re watching your calories (or weight watcher points) it’s easy to have a great meal but still know exactly what you are getting. I like the skewers, they don’t taste diet at all!

Johnny Carino's Italian: great sausage spaghetti

Posted June 18, 2010

I really enjoy coming to eat at this Johnny Carion’s. Typically there is a wait on the weekends, but it’s not too bad. They have a really great sausage spaghetti with green peppers, onions and spices. It’s really yummy and the servings are large enough to have leftovers. The family-style bread is good also.

FEDEX Office Print & Ship Center: good company

Posted June 18, 2010

I have done a lot of business at the downtown Kinkos in Fort Collins. They have a very helpful staff who are always friendly and do their best to meet tight deadlines. Some of the employees in this store have been here for several years, which is a sign that they have a reat thing going for them.
